FAQ

Yes. Moc Luc specialises in OEM and ODM production — meaning we manufacture to your specifications, not the other way around. We work with:
     -  European importers and distributors sourcing custom collections for retail networks across Germany, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia
     -  Japanese buyers with precise dimensional and finish requirements built on two decades of direct supply experience
     -  Luxury hospitality operators — hotels, resorts, and serviced apartments — working from FF&E schedules and interior designer specifications
     -  Premium F&B chains requiring furniture that performs consistently across multiple locations

What we can customise: wood species, dimensions, joinery type, surface finish, material combination (solid wood, metal frame, upholstery), and packaging.
For private label or branded production, a Letter of Authorization is required.

Two things that are genuinely difficult to replicate.

Twenty years of Japanese supply. The Japanese market applies hotel-grade inspection standards to every production run — surface quality under raking light, dimensional tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre, joinery that tightens under load rather than loosening over time. We built our production system around that standard in 2005. It has not changed.

A four-stage QC process built into production, not applied at the end. Timber is inspected at intake. Machining is supervised by craftsmen with fifteen years of material experience. Assembly is verified against technical drawings. Finishing is inspected under directional light and must meet EU indoor air quality standards before any piece ships.

The result is a manufacturer whose pre-production sample reflects the production run — not one that adjusts the standard after approval.

Yes. Moc Luc holds FSC Chain of Custody certification, covering all timber inputs across our solid wood production.

For European importers managing EUDR obligations, we provide as standard:
     -  FSC Chain of Custody documentation
     -  Supply chain traceability to forest-of-origin level
     -  Geolocation data for timber harvest plots
     -  EUDR due diligence statements for each shipment

FSC certification is a strong indicator of responsible sourcing — but under EUDR, the due diligence obligation remains with the EU importer. We generate the documentation you need to fulfil that obligation as part of our standard export process, not as a special request.

Our primary species are FSC-certified oak, walnut, ash, teak, and acacia — all kiln-dried to moisture content appropriate for the destination market's climate.

For European buyers, we pay particular attention to dimensional stability under central heating conditions — solid wood expands and contracts with humidity, and Northern European interiors experience significant seasonal variation. Species selection and kiln-drying specifications are matched accordingly.

For Japanese buyers, surface grain consistency and finish uniformity across a production run are the primary material considerations — standards we have worked to for over twenty years.

We also produce furniture with metal frames and upholstered elements, all within the same facility.

We know that sourcing from 10,000 miles away requires more than a price sheet. Here is how a typical partnership unfolds:
     -  You share your brief — product category, volume, timeline, design references or FF&E schedule. We acknowledge within 5 hours and follow up with a detailed quotation within 2 business days.
     -  We align on specification — materials, dimensions, joinery, finish, and for hospitality or F&B projects, contract-grade performance requirements.
     -  You approve before we produce — pre-production samples built to approved specification. Sample fee applies, credited in full against your first production order.
     -  We produce with updates — four-stage QC throughout. Production progress shared at agreed intervals. No surprises at final inspection.
     -  Documentation ships before the container — FSC CoC, EUDR due diligence statement, commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading prepared as standard.
     -  We are still here after delivery — for repeat order adjustments, specification refinements, and the ongoing conversation that makes a supply relationship genuinely useful.
